Emily Blaine is an interdisciplinary artist based in Kansas City. Rooted in the traditions and landscapes of the Ozarks, her work negotiates the tension between control and curiosity, exploring the connection between the tangible and the intangible.
Working across drawing, analog film, woodworking, and digital processes, Blaine investigates presence, identity, and materiality through both physical and ephemeral forms. She creates objects and spaces that invite touch and participation, blurring the boundary between viewer and work.
